Digital learning is any type of learning that uses technology. Examples of digital learning are e-learning modules, e-books, videos, infographs, websites, webinars, online quizzes and so on. Even before the internet existed, digital learning existed. If you have passed your twenties when reading this, you might remember VHS-tapes and after that CD-ROMs or DVD’s.

That was the beginning of distance and therefore digital learning. You could buy or hire a tape, CD or DVD with instructional videos to learn a new skill or gain knowledge.

Anno 2022 digital learning (combined with classroom training) is the standard. Thanks to the wide variety of materials, platforms and providers it has become easier and more accessible to learn whatever you want whenever you want.
